Something a little different today in place of the usual Sunday outfit post. Life has been hurtling along at a rate of knots and today I'm feeling more contemplative. I wanted to share these photos of a lovely little walled garden I came across on my birthday trip to Clevedon. There's something restful and cocoon like about a walled garden, and I've had a fascination with them ever since I read the Secret Garden when I was given a copy for my 8th birthday. At the time I'd have rather had a Flower Faires doll, but in time I learnt that a book was a much more powerful gift.
These beautiful gardens, a series of outside 'rooms' if you like, were attached to a gift shop that incidentally sold a wonderful selection of antique jewellery. If you're ever in the area, it's well worth a look. Just look for the sign from the seafront, not far from the pier.
So, this Sunday, feel free to press the mental 'pause' button, enjoy these photos of gardens - or if the weather's sunny where you are then head out to a real one - and gather some energy for the week ahead.
This week I'll be putting up an outfit post on Tuesday instead, as I am co-hosting an international fashion link-up with the lovely Italy-based Angela from Reasons To Dress. Please stop by then to join in, all welcome.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and that now and again you remember to factor in some time to catch up with yourselves!
