Here in the UK, we are very rarely blessed with those amazing sunsets and sunrises that seem to be present in other parts of the world on a more consistent basis. We usually have rain clouds in the way. We headed out to take some photos on an evening when it had started to cloud over, but luckily as we drove up the mountain rays of light started to break through. It lasted ten minutes, and then it was gone. My husband said that this was his favourite shoot that we've ever done. I think it might be mine too.
The trouble is we've raised the bar now. I wish we could do more arty-farty shoots but we don't have the time!! Next week I'll probably be back to a few outfit snaps in the supermarket carpark...
These photos are just fabulous!! The first thing I thought when I saw the top one on instagram, was ooh that's soon Kate Bush, you capture her ethereal essence perfectly. That dress is really gorgeous, the colour works so well with the dwindling light, it's perfect! xx
ReplyDeleteI think having these artistic photoshoots every once in a while is good, but in order to keep them special, those carpark outfit shoots are necessary :) Unless you want to focus only on artistic photoshoots, that is.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos and that dress is absolutely gorgeous! x
This photos are absolutely beautiful, love the location, the lighting, your posing and that purple flowing dress...stunning! xo
ReplyDeleteSo stunning! The lighting, background, and location are so perfect they don't even look real! Your dress and hair flowers are perfect with the location. Love! <3
ReplyDeleteI really like the first image
ReplyDeleteI can tell you both had a lot of fun doing this shoot, the result is wonderful. The location is perfection. wales really is beautiful - and so are you! xxx
ReplyDeleteOMG YES YES YES THESE ARE GORGEOUS!!! And you sure have set a high standard for yourself there! Such a blogger problem ahhahaha!
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots! I love how ethereal and artistic these are. You look gorgeous in your purple gown and flower crown, and the gorgeous sunset certainly does you justice.
ReplyDeleteWowza, that's a beautiful place! Love the colour of the dress!
ReplyDeleteThe colour is amazing isn't it? Will be wearing this Autumn in more gothic style.
DeleteSuper, super shots. The sun is in just the right place for perfect backlighting, and I love the way you've really got into the spirit of it. It's great how the pink flowers echo the colours in your outfit and balance the frame out.
ReplyDeleteThat was a stroke of luck, those flowers matching the dress!!
DeleteThese really are gorgeous and so much fun. The first is my favourite and it exudes a Kate Bush vibe for sure. Really dreamy and otherworldly.
ReplyDeleteYeah that first one is the money shot for sure! It's our fave too.
DeleteBREATH TAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very high fashion editorial indeed, these photos are just brilliant. The mountains, the wild flowers...that perfectly timed ray of sunlight coming from the clouds - and YOU looking like a creature from A Midsummer Nights Dream. The word ethereal instantly comes to mind. So much beauty in these photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you - all that fashion mag reading of late paid off!! Xx
DeleteWow! What incredible shots! The lighting, the location, the outfit! Totally perfect!
ReplyDeleteThose shots are amazingly beautiful! The light, the scenery and then your gorgeous dress: it's all perfect, and I'm loving it! xxx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! Really worth all the effort that must have gone into them, you look so beautiful and the shots are such a testament to the skill you both have. I don't mind waiting around to see pics like this once in a while - all the more special when they do come around :D xx
ReplyDeleteLove how unique your shoots are, you really have some great ideas. Loving the colours!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful color on you, and a perfect match for the dramatic scenery!
ReplyDeleteOooohh, Porecelina, these images are so ethereally enchanting! What a dreamy, incredible shoot. You've made me yearn to shoot right at sunset again sooo much.
ReplyDeleteI really do adore these photos. Hats off to you both on a job (splendidly!) well done on them.
