I need to talk a little bit about the jacket though. I picked it up in a local charity shop, I think it was £5, which is a lot by my usual standards, but it has faux fur. I love faux fur. It's always so cosy to have a faux fur collar to nuzzle into when faced with a chill wind, and it increases the glamour factor measurably. I think it originally would have had faux fur cuffs as well, which is taking glamour to another level! Such a shame they were missing.

Jacket: M&S, via charity shop
Jeans: Bernie Dexter, via House of Foxy
Shoes: Clarks (in the sale)
Bag: Joules (in the sale)
Cat eye sunglasses: Can't remember!
So there you go, a very down-to-earth 'real' post with windswept hair to show that despite having a blog I am indeed a real person and don't just waft around the Welsh hills in silk gowns. Well, not all the time at least.
I'll try and increase the glamour for next week's outfit post though. I'll see what I can pull out of my magic wardrobe to show you all. I wonder what you're all in the mood for?
Such a beautiful place to go walking! Great practical outfit too, that jacket is such a good find and the Bernie Dexter jeans look great - I have a couple of Bernie jeans and after a few years of wearing them they still going strong! Faux fur does add extra glamour and warmth x
ReplyDeleteYour jacket was a really good buy at £5. I am a charity shop addict and buy far more clothes than I need in charity shops but I just can't resist a bargain!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see you in your Bernie Dexter jeans makes me want to buy a pair but I have not yet got around to it.
Loved these natural photos of you and your little spot on the globe.

The Welsh hills are awe-inspiring. You are so lucky! Your outfit was just perfect for the walk, and that jacket was a real bargain. xxx
ReplyDeleteThe fastenings on that jacket are really unusual - a super complement to the furry collar. It's great to see an everyday stylish outfit.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scenery and I am loving your outfit. Though you say this post wasn't really meant to be an outfit post your outfit is so well put together and I really love the jacket and shoes with those jeans. <3
ReplyDeleteAll the faux fur yes please - more!! This jacket looks so cosy, I really need one like this. Hope you have a lovely week xx
ReplyDeleteThat jacket is a great find! Too bad it doesn't still have the cuffs.
ReplyDeleteAnd, what!? You don't go around getting your floor length hems "6 inches deep in mud" all the time? ;)

I like casual outfit posts like these as well :) Your jacket looks quite nice even though it is missing faux fur cuffs. I love fur details as well, but faux fur often makes my neck itch so it needs to be in a place where it won't scratch me. I'd love to have a genuine fur collar on some coat, but I don't think it's going to happen, because 1. I don't want to support animal cruelty 2. too expensive. I think the only way for it to work is that if I'd miraculously find a perfect vintage coat for a reasonable price, but let's he honest, that isn't going to happen either. Anything that suits my taste is usually beyond my budget limitations. :)
ReplyDeleteI love a bit of fake fur and, as we live in the UK we get to wear it all year round - it's perfect for festivals! Gorgeous scenery, how lovely to have it on your doorstep. xxx
ReplyDeleteenjoyed reading the blog, will be back for more!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place for a walk! And keeping cosy with a lovely faux fur collar is always comforting, and definitely stylish!
