Readers' favourites
These three are the top-viewed outfit posts on my blog in 2016, and are quite a diverse selection!
The Witching Hour
This shoot showed off the glamorously gothic Leonie nightgown and robe from Kiss Me Deadly, no wonder you all liked it so much.

Spring in Wales
When the lovely CiCi Marie came to visit, it would have been rude not to partner up for a double-whammy photoshoot featuring each of us in the Lindybop 'Bethan' trousers.
My Vintage Wedding: The Outfits
Everybody loves a wedding, and you certainly loved the outfit photos I shared of my dapper groom and my Jenny Packham dress.
My favourites
Sixties Sunday
A more casual look, but the original '60s umbrella and that fab houndstooth cape make me want to wear this exact outfit all over again.

Festive Doorways
This was one of those looks that was cobbled together last minute, but I really enjoyed wearing it. Cosy, comfortable, and practical!

Titania's Dance
Dressing up in a silk gown and heading to the hills to channel Kate Bush, and then encountering the perfect lighting. I wish we could have that lighting everyday, I'd be churning out the shoots!

The comedy favourites
These are the shoots that will stay in my memory forever more, for the comedy value that they provided.
Space Vixen
Shooting in a supermarket car park was not a glamorous highlight of the year, but it certainly gave me the giggles!

The Death of Summer
The comedy here was provided by a car-load of youths heckling us, and me inadvertently standing on an ant hill...

So there you have it, quite an eclectic selection, with influences from the 1930s to the 1970s. Not all of the clothes featured here are still in my wardrobe; some have been worn out, and some donated to charity. I keep 'editing' my wardrobe every few months, trying to be realistic about how many clothes one woman can wear in a year, and the holidays over Christmas will give me time to do that once more. I'm excited about the New Year - who knows what adventures await? You can bet I'll be dressing the part.
Have I missed out your favourite? Do you look back on your wardrobe at the end of the year or save it for a big Spring clear out?
I hope you had a fab Christmas and wishing you a happy New year. You sure have had a busy year in 2016, can't wait to see your Christmas and new year outfits soon!

ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful outfits and photos to choose from! Although I very much love everyone's favourite (the witching hour) and your wedding outfit photos, my favourite is you channelling Kate Bush, with your dress almost exactly matching the colour of the flowers, and that magical lighting! Happy New Year to you too, and maybe we'll get to meet each other in 2017! xxx

So nice to see all the photos again. Your wedding was beautiful, and it's fab seeing you and CiCi together, but I think my favourite was Titania's Dance because it's so different to the sort of photo most bloggers take.
