These photos had to be taken twice. It started snowing while we were shooting these photos on a mountain road, and it wasn't until we drove away towards our destination in the next valley that I realised that snowflakes were covering the lens in most of the photos. So, we had to stop in the same spot on the way home and take some more! We were teased with a few minutes of sunset that cast some beautiful light, but it disappeared very quickly.
I've had the amazing vintage leather coat in these photos since May last year. It was a gift for my birthday from my husband. I don't really know why I took so long to getting around to wear it. I think I was waiting for winter to properly hit. When the snow fell, it felt like it was time. I was keen to give my all-seeing eye clutch bag an outing too, one of my January sale bargains.

Leather coat with faux fur collar: Vintage, gift
Knee High Boots: Ted and Muffy
Clutch: Lulu Guinness, TK Maxx
Great pictures, very atmospheric. We had snow for about half an hour then it was gone, rained away. Bah.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bore about those snowflakes covering the lens! It was well worth doing over the photos, though, as they are very atmospheric and the light is so beautiful in them. Snow doesn't stay here for long either, but we do not have any higher ground to escape to. Love that Lulu Guinness clutch! xxx
ReplyDeleteI am so thrilled with the clutch, it was a bargain too ;)
DeleteWell don't you look dangerous! I love the leather coat and tall boots, and that clutch bag is fantastic. The snow and sunset give these shots such a stark, beautiful atmosphere. That last shot has such drama!
ReplyDeleteI like the 'dangerous' comment ;) The last shot is my favourite, it was the last attempt before we ran back to the car to get the heaters on!!
DeleteWonderfully dramatic pictures! You're looking rather feisty here ;) love it - and that coat is another one of your husband's awesome finds! I've still never managed to get photos in any kind of snow... We really didn't get any down here, you were hogging it all ;) xx
ReplyDeleteWe've had so little snow so far this winter though, it has been foggy mostly. I would like one more snowfall to get proper snow photos!!
DeleteI love these beautiful and powerful photos! That is one awesome jacket and I love it with those great boots and clutch. This is such an awesome outfit! I'd love to experience some cold weather right now, I'm currently melting! x
ReplyDeleteIf only we could swap for a few hours (though I couldn't cope with Aussie heat long term!!). I did feel powerful, and a bit deadly...
DeleteSuch beautiful photos Porcelina, I love these photos in the snow and such a great outfit for a cold/winters day! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Camilla, it was a small window of snowyness!
DeleteGorgeous photo shoot, although I am feeling that chill! Loving that cool clutch. xox

Arctic, my fingers were numb!!
DeleteThat coat is so similar to one I made at college, I don't suppose it has a 'Made by Cate Coles' label in it!! Hahaha! I have no idea what happened to that coat, my mum probably shipped it off to the charity shop. I must ask her when I speak to her next. You look fab as always! xx
ReplyDeleteIt would be funny if it was, though how it ended up in Wales? I do think it has a shop label in but will check. It was deadstock, still with spare buttons. Do find out from your lovely mum what she did with it! X
DeleteOoh- so fierce! This is a really great and dramatic outfit and that is the perfect location for the photos too. That is so annoying you had to do the photos over again- but it was so worth it to get these great shots!

You look like the missing Avenger in those photos (and come to think of it, I can't decide whether I mean 60s Avengers or Marvel Avengers - it's a superheroine 2-for-1!). Nice to see the Lulu bag getting an outing; I'd never have thought of putting it in such a fierce combo but it really works.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, I loved the bag - really interesting! The black booties are also very nice and I love The Valleys - actually, Wales is my favorite country in the world! Hope you have a very nice week!
