After a very brisk uphill trek, we wound our way back down again through the trees and had a cup of tea in the car park. We refrained from bringing out the folding chairs like you see elderly people do on their day trips, but I'm sure it won't be long until that happens. Anyway, it's such a wellbeing boost to get out into nature for some fresh air and exercise, and I'm hoping we can get out a bit more regularly in the Spring when the weather cheers up a bit. I thought there were already a few signs of Spring in the forest, including some catkins, so let's hope it's not too far away.
If my outfit looks familiar, it's because I wore the same coat and faux fur collar combination a few years ago in this post. You can also see a little video clip of this outfit on my Instagram account.

You both look marvelously chic for a day out wandering and not a fleece or shred of Gortex in sight, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have so much beauty on your doorstep. A stroll in the countryside is good for the soul.
We're with you on the flasks and emergency bananas. xxx
I just think 'normal' clothes do perfectly well for most of our adventures, unless we're properly hiking or bush-wacking. I don't tend to go hiking when the weather's really wet or cold so a good pair of boots is all you need!
DeleteYou guys are so dapper for your walk in the forest!
ReplyDeleteI'm holding out for the arrival of spring as well. I hate missing my daily walks. I have a feeling it'll be months before we see signs of spring here although yesterday it was a balmy 14C today it is back to 5 C.
bisous

I love your outfit.

Very chic for a cold British walk ;) To be fair, having seen where you live I don't know how you'd possibly explore it all! Love the sound of the streams and waterfalls, sounds so pretty. You did well forcing yourself outside, my instinct is definitely to burrow at the moment... xx
ReplyDeleteI know, we've only seen the tip of the iceberg really! More walks planned for the brighter months, including finally heading up Pen Y Fan.
DeleteYou both look splendid! Hasn't it been nice having weather good enough to go out for walks? You're certainly spoiled for scenic choices in the Valleys.
ReplyDeleteSuch awesome boots to go walking in the woods with, such a great coat too...looks so warm and snug! :)
ReplyDeleteHow I would love to explore that country park! So much more adventurous than our tame walk in the park of last Saturday. To begin with, it's virtually all flat here ... Love your walking outfits, and especially your boots! xxx
ReplyDeleteLoved to discover more of Welsh trails and to get tea is a must :) Loved the faux fur colour and your boots seemed to be "just made for walking" there! Really lovely! Hope you have a nice week!

You both look fab and you know how much I love your boots! Your hubby has definitely been studying the men's style magazines with his posing. :) xx
ReplyDeleteDashing, dapper, elegant and cool both of you. Two great coats, by you both, Porcelina. Love this post. Definitely very stylish for your walk in the forest.
