Father Christmas was very kind to give this little elf a day off from the workshop. I used my down time to take a trip to
Cardiff indoor flea market, that was filled with antiques, vintage, shabby chic, junk - and Christmas displays. I took advantage of the backdrop to make the most of my elf-like attire. I'm probably a little too tall to be an elf, but I like being helpful, cheerful and wrapping presents, so I fit the job description.
Laura Ashley pinafore dress from charity shop, Primark white polkadot tights, F&F boots from car boot sale, Accessorize beret, Papaya rollneck from car boot sale, Alternate Normality shoe clip worn as brooch.
The only thing I bought was a small Christmas gift, no goodies for myself on this visit.
It's a busy time of year, so this is a brief post. Back to the workshop I go...
This is so dang cute! I love it! I think the hat really makes it special.

What a sweet post. You look so cute in your festive finery! Loved that indoor flea market when we went to Cardiff. xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm quite taken with your elf-like attire and agree with Suzanne that it is super cute! The shoe clip worn as a brooch is genius! The indoor flea market looks suspiciously like some of the stalls at the flea market we went today. But I did manage to find a couple of things for myself! xxx
ReplyDeleteI hesitate to call people's outfits "cute" but in this instance- you really do look so cute! I love your elf style- and that pinafore is wonderful! This shop was certainly a great backdrop.
ReplyDeleteGreat look and things!
ReplyDeleteYou're a darling elf! Size does not matter! Love the brooch and the white boots, xox

You look so festive! Love the beret and pinafore. And I love using vintage shoe clips as brooches. It's always nice to repurpose vintage things to get more use out of them.

Aw, cute outfit and a very cute post! Just remember Elf the movie was about a very tall elf! xx
ReplyDeleteYou could be a tall elf. A Tolkien elf! (Much more elegant.)
ReplyDeleteI'm an overgrown Hobbit, after all.
You look so cute! I love the originality of an elf inspired look too ;) xx
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. And I have a new style goal for myself, as I also fit that job description :)
